Sunshine Coast's NightQuarter Entertainment Precinct Launch
Every Friday and Saturday night from 4pm-10pm, the space will come alive with live music across five stages, immersive performances, street art, bars and vintage amusement rides.
On Sundays make the most of the beautiful Sunshine Coast Sunday afternoons with funk, flavours and furry-friend outings with a ‘pup-up bar’ for pooches, undercover vintage and design markets, sustainability workshops and blues tunes.
Enchanted Garden: A lush and leafy space with festoon and fairy lights interwoven in the trees, the Enchanted Garden is home to the Botanical cocktail bar, light installations, neon, a curated selection of foodies and late night sweet treats.
Hawker Street: Inspired by night markets around the world, Hawker Street serves up global eats beneath a giant hangar and light installations. Dance the night away to local bands and community performers on the Vibes stage.
Wonder Amusements: Inspired by vintage fairgrounds, Wonder is a collection of vintage amusements with dodgems, teacup rides, carnival games, arcades and interactive installations. Get nostalgic with fairy floss, caramel apples and dagwood dogs.
Eumundi Backyard: The Sunny Coast’s own Eumundi Brewery presents the Eumundi Backyard. A beer garden with a shipping container bar pouring locally crafted and seasonal beers, picnic tables, live music and slow-cooked barbecue meats.
NightQuarter Live: An award-winning performance venue that hosts national and international touring acts, events, theatre shows and more. Featuring a VIP balcony space called The Gallery, astroturf, art and a custom-built stage. Our events in NightQuarter Live are individually classified with age restrictions. Community Repairlab: A community space dedicated to the circular economy, sharing skills and stories. Meet with skilled artisans and learn to repair, reuse and develop new skills at regular hands-on workshops for a more sustainable life.
Street Art Gallery: From graffiti to sculpture, to wearable art, to murals, explore over twenty pieces of street and urban art on an interactive trail with videos, interviews and behind the scenes content linked with QR codes. Discover the Sunny Coast arts scene!
Market Shopping: Explore our precinct and discover unique, handcrafted and curated selections of wares both locally crafted and sourced globally. Discover fashion, jewellery, homewares and more. Join us on Sundays for our vintage markets.
Sirromet Wine Bar: Celebrating Queensland wines and the taste of the Granite Belt wine region, the Sirromet Wine Bar is inspired by the cellar door experience with wine tastings in the afternoon and free flowing wines as the sun goes down as you enjoy live tunes.
OPENING TIMES
We will be open regularly on Fridays and Saturday from 4pm-10pm for our NightQuarter experience, with stallholders, family friendly fun, live music, immersive performances, bars and market shopping.
We will open regularly on Sundays from 12pm-6pm for sunny Sunday vibes, food, bars, vintage and designer markets, blues and puppy friendly fun.

TICKETS
Please note that NightQuarter is a ticketed experience. As an entertainment precinct with a unique built environment and live entertainment throughout, tickets are required so we can manage numbers and ensure an excellent experience for our guests. NightQuarter is a professionally operated venue with cleaning, security, customer service staff and production.
Tickets can be purchased online in advance or at our box office on arrival. We have single entry passes, family passes and seasonal passes available.
We have single night passes, family passes and seasonal passes for our NightQuarter experience every weekend. Our NightQuarter Live space hosts ticketed concerts and events.
Kids 3 and under have free entry. Minors must be accompanied by a legal guardian.
OPENING HOURS
NightQuarter will open every Friday and Saturday from 4pm-10pm and every Sunday from 12pm-6pm.
PARKING & TRANSPORT
520 parking spaces are available at Stockland Birtinya. Parking is free for two hours and free after 5pm. An additional 300 car spaces are available off Kawana Way, and street parking throughout the area.
Gold Coast's iconic 'NightQuarter' to launch on the Sunshine Coast in 2019

The award-winning street food, night market and entertainment destination NightQuarter is set for a new home on the Sunshine Coast.
Stockland announced that it has submitted a development application to bring the iconic NightQuarter Markets to Stockland Birtinya Shopping Centre.
Heralded a ‘cultural revolution’ during its three years at Helensvale on the Gold Coast, NightQuarter attracted thousands of locals and tourists on weekends and became one of the area’s most iconic food and music destinations.
NightQuarter is an ever-evolving festival with unique blend of street food, community and culture and an ethos of shared eating, shared experience and shared conversation.
The shipping container urban playground is set to open at Birtinya in late 2019 and become a new iconic destination for the Sunshine Coast community to enjoy.
“We’re excited to be developing a NightQuarter concept for the Sunshine Coast community. The warm welcome from Stockland and local councillors has been heart-warming,” says co-owner, Michelle Christoe.
“NightQuarter is a platform for entrepreneurship and creativity. It has always been an incubator for talent with many vendors going on to open restaurants and retail stores, and artists going from our stage to the largest stages in the world." said Christoe.
"The Sunshine Coast is alive with creativity, so the potential and the possibilities are endless. The space is a collaboration with the local community, and we are excited to see how it evolves” said Christoe.
NightQuarter Sunshine Coast will be bursting with energy, colour, and plenty of ridiculously good smells.
The venue will open every Friday and Saturday from 4pm-10pm with its signature foodie precincts, cultural festivals, interactive installations and beating heart of live music.
“The live music space made famous on the Gold Coast and winner of the 2019 ‘Best Regional Venue’ at the Queensland Music Awards will be a major feature at the new location.
The space has previously hosted artists like The Cat Empire, Xavier Rudd, UB40, Amy Shark, RUFUS, Flight Facilities, Illy, The Screaming Jets, The Living End and more.
Legends from the Sunshine Coast music scene will already be familiar with the venue. We have always been blown away by the talent on the Sunshine Coast.”
“NightQuarter is the first stage for aspiring musicians, it is a place where grandparents, great-grandparents, parents and young siblings can all come together to watch them perform.
We had the biggest artists in Australia inviting their grandmas to come and watch them perform at NightQuarter because it is such a family-friendly community environment,” said Christoe.
The new venue will be adjacent to the Stockland Birtinya Shopping Centre. The space has been secured in collaboration with Stockland.

Kawana MP, Jarrod Bleijie said he was fully supportive of the new development and noted that the new creative precinct will create over 150 new jobs for the area as well as opportunities for skill development for high school students who will get the opportunity to do a school based traineeships in hospitality and events at NightQuarter.
This is the type of business that exemplifies the entrepreneurial culture that benefits the whole of the community. I’ve seen what Ian and Michelle did on the Gold Coast and look forward to welcoming them at Birtinya when it opens later this year.
As recently announced, the team behind NightQuarter will also be opening a new brew pub in the Stockland Birtinya dining precinct, Malt Shovel Taphouse. The first-of-its-kind in Queensland, it will feature an extensive range of craft beers and rotisserie-style dishes made from local ingredients.
Subject to approvals, NightQuarter Sunshine Coast will be coming to life in late 2019 operate on Friday and Saturday evenings.
